There's a few things every saber owner can do to keep their RGB saber in top shape.
Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the hilt and blade after every use with a soft, lint-free cloth or saber bag we provide. This removes sweat, dust, and any environmental grime that can affect button responsiveness or light diffusion.
Check Blade Retention: Every few uses, especially if using it for dueling - twist or pull your blade slightly to ensure the retention screws are snug. A loose blade can stress the emitter and diffuser film.
Inspect Seals and Gaskets: Look for any cracks in rubber gaskets around the emitter or pommel. Replace them if they show wear to keep moisture and dust out.
Battery Care: For sabers using rechargeable cells, don’t let them sit fully depleted for long. Charge when voltage drops below recommended level, and store cells at roughly 40–60% if you won’t be using the saber for weeks.
Tighten Fasteners: Hilts can sometimes use small screws to secure grips, electronics covers, and soundboards. Periodically check these with the proper hex or Torx drivers to prevent rattles and preserve electrical contacts.
Blade Storage: Remove the blade for long-term storage to prevent stress on the emitter and diffuser sheet. Store both blade and hilt in a padded case or stand to avoid accidental drops. Also use
Following these steps will keep your RGB saber looking bright, sounding crisp, and performing flawlessly for every duel or cosplay appearance.
